Job Summary:
- We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Inventory Planning Analyst to join The Ambr Group. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our inventory health across the supply chain, independently developing supply plans based on demand forecasts and strategic goals. You’ll also lead weekly inventory health reviews with sales teams to address inventory deficiencies, optimize stock levels, and manage sell-through strategies for excess inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize levels across the supply chain network.
- Manage the supply planning process based on sales forecasts, seasonal demand, and lead times.
- Regularly analyze demand forecasts, historical sales data, and market trends to adjust inventory plans and ensure product availability.
- Conduct weekly inventory health reviews with sales teams to optimize inventory, including strategies to stretch limited stock and manage promotional or sell-through plans for excess inventory.
- Identify potential stockouts and overstock situations through data analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including sales, logistics, demand forecasting, and finance, to support and implement inventory management strategies.
- Establish and maintain tracking systems to monitor inventory levels, cycle times, and order accuracy.
- Optimize inventory holding costs and lead times to improve inventory turnover and maintain service levels.
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans to reduce excess inventory and streamline inventory flow.
- Develop and maintain inventory performance metrics and reporting to track key performance indicators and identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, or supply chain analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and forecasting.
- Proficient in inventory management systems, supply planning, and demand forecasting.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is a plus.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies is a plus.
