Job Role / Responsibilities:
The Supervisor - Outreach Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and upkeep of outreach facilities. This includes supervising staff and contractors, managing maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining inventory, effective and efficient repair, maintenance and overhauling of all Mechanical,- Plumbing & Electrical works to ensure trouble free operation to the satisfaction of Users in off campus locations consisting of off campus hospitals, collection centres/IMS, pharmacies etc.:
- Effectively manage available human resources to ensure their utilization is above 80%.
- Resolve problems related to outreach facility maintenance.
- Supervise and manage staff and contractors for timely execution of Breakdown Maintenance (BDMs), Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPMs), and inspections.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities meet or exceed the required standards as defined in the EAM Maintenance Management System.
- Perform routine inspections of all the outreach facilities and report observations accordingly as per system protocol to identify and address potential issues before they lead to system failures, take necessary steps on resolution of those observations.
- Ensure proper planning and execution of maintenance activities. Review maintenance work in co-ordination with Engineer / Coordinator.
- Responsible to handle departmental documentation such as Purchase requisition, Stores and Warehouse requisition etc.
- Make informed decisions on equipment replacement, disposal, and new purchases in consultation with the immediate supervisor
- Maintain stock and inventory in secondary hospitals, CMS, and outreach facilities, ensuring compliance with institutional processes for asset transfer and disposal.
- Ensure all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) equipment in the facility are properly registered in the EAM system.
- Implement and monitor an effective Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
- Develop and maintain a list of essential and critical spare parts to minimize equipment downtime
- Ensure staff adhere to approved safety standards and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Participate actively in environmental and audit rounds of the facilities, Ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory standard
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
- Minimum DAE Mechanical/Electrical/Refrigeration
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance and supervision
- Strong understanding of maintenance management systems, particularly EAM
- Experience in managing staff and contractors in a maintenance environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in facility maintenance
- Problem solving and positive attitude
