Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Structural Geologist with a robust background in structural geological modeling, particularly in the complex fold and thrust belts of Pakistan. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience working in Pakistan and possess a PhD in a relevant field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Geological Modeling: Lead and execute detailed structural geological modeling of complex fold and thrust belts in Pakistan.
- Structural Balancing & Restoration: Utilize advanced techniques in structural balancing and restoration, including kinematics and geomechanics, to interpret and predict geological formations.
- Software Proficiency: Expert use of industry-standard software for structural restoration and modeling, ensuring accurate and efficient project outcomes.
- Collaborative Projects: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including geophysicists, petrophysicists, and reservoir engineers, to integrate structural models into broader geological studies.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in structural geology with a strong focus on the structural geology of Pakistan.
- Extensive experience in structural balancing and restoration with an emphasis on kinematics and geomechanics.
- Education:
- PhD in Structural Geology or a closely related discipline.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in using industry-standard software for structural restoration and modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex geological problems.
- Other Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
