Position Purpose:
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Strategic Business Consultant to work closely with the CEO and cross-functional teams. This role will be responsible for building the Profit & Loss (P&L) structure, tracking profitability, optimising costs, and driving business efficiency through automation and process improvement. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the development, sales, HR, and finance teams to streamline operations and implement strategic initiatives that enhance overall business performance.
Education & Professional Qualification:
- Degree(s)/Major(s): Bachelors or Masters in a relevant field from a reputed local/foreign University.
- Certification(s): Not mandatory, but certification in a relevant field is a plus.
Experience:
● Minimum 4 to 5 year experience in Business Analyst role
Responsibilities:
- P&L Management & Financial Analysis: Proven experience in developing, analyzing, and maintaining P&L statements to ensure financial stability and business growth.
- Cost Optimization & Efficiency Improvement: Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to enhance operational performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to work closely with development, sales, HR, and finance teams to align business objectives and improve workflow efficiency.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Experience in identifying process bottlenecks, implementing automation solutions, and driving technology adoption for operational efficiency.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Expertise in developing reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor business performance and provide actionable insights.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Ability to assist in formulating and executing strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth and scalability.
- Stakeholder Communication: Strong communication skills to provide regular updates on business performance, financial metrics, and operational improvements to leadership.
- Educational & Professional Background: A relevant educational background is preferred but not mandatory—experience, drive, and strategic thinking are the key success factors.
- Financial & Business Strategy Expertise: Hands-on experience in financial planning, business strategy, and operational optimization.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, profitability analysis, and familiarity with ERP systems or automation tools is a plus.
- Leadership & Problem-Solving: Ability to challenge ideas constructively, maintain professionalism, and foster collaboration while taking initiative in problem-solving and innovation.
Requirements- A relevant degree is preferred but not mandatory—experience, strategic thinking, and drive are key success factors.
- Proven expertise in business strategy, financial planning, and operational optimization.
- Strong analytical skills in financial modeling, cost analysis, and revenue forecasting.
- Experience with automation tools and ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to work across teams to align business functions and improve interdepartmental processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Develop comprehensive reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor business performance and provide data-driven insights.
- Assist the CEO in formulating and executing strategies to scale operations and drive revenue growth.
- Strong ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and provide actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of taxation, including withholding tax (WHT), sales tax (GST), payroll deductions (EOBI, Social Security, Professional Tax), and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to analyze financial data, detect variances, and ensure tax compliance.
- Proven accuracy in reconciling financial statements, payroll deductions, and tax obligations.
- A proactive approach to challenges with a strong sense of responsibility and continuous improvement mindset.
