General Summary:
- Strong background in test/validation and software development.
- Expertise in designing, developing, and deploying test plans, debugging test framework issues, and creating test automation software.
- Solid understanding of multimedia audio technologies and experience with audio compression codecs, including BT codecs like LDAC ABR, AAC, SBC, APTx, APTx HD, AAC ABR, LHDC, and BLE.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Knowledge of the Android framework and machine learning is a plus.
- Experience in Java and C/C++ is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of audio technology, with experience in Android, voice activation, USB, and Bluetooth stack and profiles testing.
- Experience with machine learning techniques for audio validation.
- Knowledge of voice technologies such as VoLTE and VoNR.
- Familiarity with voice test validation methodologies like PESQ, POLQA, and MOS.
- Experience with call box analyzers, particularly CMW500, UXM 5G, and Audio Precision toolbox.
- Understanding of various test methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1+ year of work or academic experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans and/or tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools).
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with software and systems engineers across global sites.
- Analyze product requirements and customer use cases to develop test development and automation strategies.
- Perform manual validation of test scenarios as needed.
- Develop test strategies for the verification and commercial launch of multimedia video algorithms, including various video codecs and pre/post-processing.
- Design, develop, and deploy test plans, test frameworks, and test automation software.
- Collaborate with multimedia technology teams to leverage common test methods and frameworks.
- Gather requirements, design, and deploy test plans and automation for audio and voice quality validation.
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot multimedia problems.
- Design and implement test setups and automation in a lab environment.
- Execute performance and functional tests in mobile networks covering technologies like GSM, UMTS, LTE, and VoNR.
- Conduct performance and functional tests in audio for different formats and post-processing features.
- Develop innovative test strategies for the verification and commercialization of industry-leading multimedia features.
- Investigate and implement new tools and processes to improve software quality.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Provide guidance and supervision to others as needed.
- Influence key organizational decisions by providing input to senior leadership.
- Utilize both deductive and inductive problem-solving approaches.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including those with limited subject knowledge.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science and/or Electronics & Communications Engineering.
