Job Role / Responsibilities


Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, you will play a key role in identifying learning needs and designing, developing, and delivering development programmes aligned with the learning cycle for faculty and staff in assigned areas. You will also manage routine learning operations, including scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring training sessions, maintaining training records, and ensuring the smooth execution of learning initiatives.


Additionally, your responsibilities will include conducting training on generic skills and orientation programmes, ensuring the timely completion of service agreements as per AKU policies, and contributing to other HRD-related activities and projects. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.


Specifically, you will be responsible for:


  • Working with the Centre of Excellence (COE) and HR functions to identify and address development needs, implementing projects that enhance employee skills, behaviors, and competencies.
  • Assisting in designing and compiling Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) reports for management and non-management staff in collaboration with HR learning leaders assigned to various departments.
  • Developing new training programmes or improving existing ones based on identified needs.
  • Planning and designing staff development programmes using innovative instructional strategies tailored to specific goals and audience requirements.
  • Delivering activity-based training sessions aligned with assessed needs and requests from unit or department heads.
  • Conducting training for faculty and staff to enhance their knowledge, skills, and attitudes for improved workplace effectiveness.
  • Managing the training impact cycle by soliciting supervisors' feedback on staff performance after training sessions.
  • Partnering with department heads to prepare development plans addressing skill shortages and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's in Business Administration or MA (Social Sciences preferably psychology) with a specialisation in Learning and Development.
  • At least 4 – 5 years of experience in designing and conducting training.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu, including the ability to write reports.
  • Must come across as a dynamic, positive person.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Ability and flexibility to interact with faculty and staff at all levels within the Institution.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to plan and manage time effectively.
