What is Specialist Network Supervision?

Specialist Network Supervision is responsible for Transport network monitoring covering Microwave, Optical, IP, FIX Customers in 24*7 shifts

The role reports directly to the Manager Transmission Supervision with an extended team of 16 team members

What does Specialist Network Supervision do?

Key responsibilities & Deliverables

• Hands on experience on Huawei and Ericsson MW, Optical (including OTN & DWDM, WSON) & IP nodes.
• Escalating and follow up for early resolution of all persistent analytical problems including cross-domain analysis (RAN/TXN/IP/Core/FIX) according to SLA.
• Data reconciliation & enrichment in development of TXN (MW+ optical)/IP reports (both existing/newly developed) via Tableau for analytical domain.
• Proactive Analysis/ good troubleshooting & analytical skills, i.e. perform detailed analysis for repetitive outages to find the root cause and support concern teams for the earlier resolution.
• Responsible to enable and guide the process to newly hire team members for troubleshooting and identification of all TXN/IP related issues.
• Ensure Network L1 support to Nationwide operational field teams.
• Handling Nationwide activities (Roll out/ND/Operations).
• Highlighting and identifying network fault, follow up till closure.

Requirements

• 2-3 Years of experience
• BS Electrical/Telecommunications/Electronics degree
• Must have excellent Microsoft office skills, IP Certification i.e. CCNA, HCNA will be added advantage.
• Must have excellent communication skills and able to promote the department and technology portfolio with professionalism, maturity, and a balanced, holistic view of any competing viewpoints
• Candidate must be a good team player.
