What is Expert/Specialist NOC Supervision?


Working in 24 x 7 – Shifts for fault monitoring, troubleshooting/providing first level support for ongoing issues related to IT and Core domains. The role reports directly to the Manager Core Supervision and this team comprises of 5 team members.


What does Expert/Specialist NOC Supervision - Core do?


Key Responsibilities:


  • Fault Monitoring and reporting for Core nodes
  • Engagement and escalation to all stakeholder teams
  • Planned Network activities support
  • NMS Health Checks
  • Service Requests Handling
  • Health Checks of various platforms/tools

Key Deliverables: 


  • Alarm monitoring of various domains like CS Core, PS Core, IN and VAS
  • Service impact calculation of outage incidents
  • IN complaints handling
  • IMEI Whitelisting service requests handling
  • Netcool Health Check for auto escalations
  • Major KPI trends monitoring and reporting
  • Provide support to field teams for Network Planned Activities and to do pre-post verifications
  • ServiceNow Health Check to ensure smooth working of all auto and manual escalations

What does Expert/Specialist NOC Supervision - RAN do?


Key responsibilities:


  • Fault Monitoring and reporting for RAN nodes
  • Battery theft reporting
  • Planned Network activities support
  • Preventive Maintenance support
  • Inventory Management support
  • NMS Health Checks
  • Site Database Management
  • Service Requests Handling
  • Health Checks of various platforms/tools

Key Deliverables: 


  • Multiple Sites Down/Multiple Sites Fluctuations reporting
  • Outage/fluctuations reporting amid power breakdown or bad weather
  • BSC/RNC Alarms reporting
  • Huawei Battery Alarms Monitoring and ATPs
  • Trouble Tickets for single site issues (Telco alarms, fluctuations, prolonged outage, stuck environmental alarms etc)
  • Netcool Health Check for auto escalations
  • Preventive Maintenance: portal and users management being custodians of end-to-end process
  • Database maintenance through Inventory Management portal
  • Site Lock/Unlock requests handling as per SOP
  • Provide support to field teams for Network Planned Activities
  • NOC Live App audit and maintenance
  • ServiceNow Health Check to ensure smooth working of all auto and manual escalations
  • Corrective Maintenance
  • Daily reports

What does Expert/Specialist NOC Supervision - TXN & FIX do?


  • Hands on experience on Huawei and Ericsson MW, Optical (including OTN & DWDM, WSON) & IP nodes.
  • Escalating and follow up for early resolution of all persistent analytical problems including cross-domain analysis (RAN/TXN/IP/Core/FIX) according to SLA.
  • Data reconciliation & enrichment in development of TXN (MW+ optical)/IP reports (both existing/newly developed) via Tableau for analytical domain.
  • Proactive Analysis/ good troubleshooting & analytical skills, i.e. perform detailed analysis for repetitive outages to find the root cause and support concern teams for the earlier resolution.
  • Responsible to enable and guide the process to newly hire team members for troubleshooting and identification of all TXN/IP related issues.
  • Ensure Network L1 support to Nationwide operational field teams.
  • Handling Nationwide activities (Roll out/ND/Operations).
  • Highlighting and identifying network fault, follow up till closure

What does Expert/Specialist NOC Supervision - NSS & IT do?


Key responsibilities


  • Fault Monitoring and reporting for IT nodes.
  • Engagement and escalation to all stakeholder teams
  • Planned Network activities support.
  • NMS Health Checks
  • Service Requests Handling
  • Health Checks of various platforms/tools

Key Deliverables 


  • Alarm monitoring of various IT nodes. Must have a good knowledge of Infra 
  • Service impact calculation of outage incidents.
  • JAZZCASH and Cloud Monitoring
  • OSS tools Health Check for auto escalations
  • Major KPI trends monitoring and reporting.
  • Provide support to field teams for Network Planned Activities and to do pre-post verifications.
  • Notifications Tool Health Check to ensure smooth working of all auto and manual escalations.

Requirements


Experience and Educational requirements


  • B.S. or B.Sc. Electrical/Telecom/Computer Engineering
  • Prior working Experience in a NOC Environment.
  • Hands on experience with Huawei, ZTE and Nokia RAN equipment.
  • Willing to work in shifts, on holidays & emergencies.

Soft skills and technical skills required


  • Good understanding of RAN technologies (2G/LTE)
  • Thorough know-how of network topologies and their inter-working
  • Good understanding of basic call flows for 2G/4G.
  • Hands-on experience of NMS systems and associated software tools.
  • Fault Management Procedures & Industry Practices.
  • Deep understanding of Network Operations Environment.
  • Customer Centric Approach to facilitate the internal customer teams.
  • Computer Proficiency, MS Office must include MS Visio & Power point.
  • Good Communication and Presentations skills.
