Job Description:


In the HPE Hybrid Cloud, we lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. This includes managing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. Working with customers, we help them reimagine their information technology needs to deliver a simple, consumable solution that helps them drive their business results. What you'll do:


Set and maintain quality standards for company products through the use of systematic processes. Develops, modifies, and executes software test strategies, plans and suites. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. May develop tools and environments to automate test execution. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.


Management Level Definition:


Contributes to assignments of limited scope by applying technical concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education, or previous experience. Acts as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define test plans, test cases, and quality goals.
  • Executes established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code for end-user applications, systems software, and firmware running on hardware, local, networked, and Internet- based platforms; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues.
  • Design, implement, and execute automated test scripts for functional, integration, and regression testing.
  • Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on software applications design and development.
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing to identify platform issues and validate new features.
  • Establish and maintain QA processes and documentation, including defect tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze QA metrics, identifying trends to improve testing efficiency and product quality.
  • Advocate for quality across the development lifecycle, contributing to requirements analysis, design reviews, and sprint planning.
  • Identify opportunities for optimizing testing workflows and tools, driving continuous improvement in QA practices.

What you need to bring:


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically, 0-2 years' experience.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • 0-2 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role in software development.
  • Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and tracking defects.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright).
  • Familiarity with cloud and on-premises virtualization environment is a highly desired.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
