As a Software Engineer III - Data Analytics - Admin and Architecture at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial Bank Technology Team, you'll serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Create secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Experience in BI/Visualization tools with expertise in planning, designing, building, and implementing solutions.
- Experience in administration, creating dashboards/reports using BI/Visualization tools (Sigma Computing).
- Strong knowledge on Implementing and maintaining security (Authentication using SAML or Oauth), Authorization and SCIM.
- Strong experience with troubleshooting performance issues at BI layer as well as with Network layer.
- Monitor and coordinate all data system operations, including security procedures, infrastructure, security, DevOps, Data Platform and Application team.
- Ability to work on cross-functional projects and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of key data engineering concepts, such as data modeling and data warehousing.
- Skilled communicator with a passion for education and teaching.
- Team player who enjoys collaborating with diverse business stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Prior experience with implementation or working on SaaS BI products is a plus.
