As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Risk division, you will act as an experienced member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering reliable, industry-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your responsibilities include implementing critical technology solutions across a variety of technical areas within different business functions, all in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end application and infrastructure service for business operations.
- Execute policies ensuring engineering and operational stability.
- Monitor production environments for anomalies and address issues.
- Escalate and communicate issues to stakeholders for resolution.
- Lead incident, problem, and change management for technology systems.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Demonstrate proficiency in AWS Cloud Platform, including system design and development.
Utilize infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Helm chart effectively.
Design and manage Kubernetes clusters across various environments as a platform engineer.
Experience with Kubernetes services, deployments, and security policies.
Strong experience in Terraform, Python, and Shell scripting.
Independently design, build, test, and deploy code using infrastructure as code tools.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jules, Spinnaker, or Jenkins.
Set up monitoring and alerting for Kubernetes clusters using Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Should be able to lead by example and guide the team with their technical expertise.
Should be able to identify risks/issues for the project and manage them accordingly.
Exhibit strong SQL skills, with preference for PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, Aurora, or Teradata.
