Client Overview:

Job Purpose:


The Service Captain will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day front-of-house operations. This individual will ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen and dining areas, supervise the serving staff, and ensure that guests receive exceptional service. The role also involves maintaining high standards of hospitality, resolving customer queries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and guide the service staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dining area.
  • Ensure guests needs and preferences are attended to promptly and professionally.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Train and mentor junior service staff on customer service standards and protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in the restaurant.
  • Assist in preparing reports on daily operations, staff performance, and customer feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 4 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a café or restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service, as well as restaurant operations.
