INTECH Automation & Intelligence is looking for an energized and capable professional for the role of a Senior Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities:


  • Review RFQs to ensure design solutions align with customer requirements.
  • Select and design cost-optimized solutions for field instrumentation.
  • Estimate the scope of work for the installation of control systems and manage site work effectively.
  • Provide estimations and develop proposals for brownfield projects.
  • Perform effort estimation for engineering, construction, and testing works, and develop project execution plans accordingly.
  • Identify technical and commercial risks associated with proposals and develop mitigation plans.
  • Support the sales team by ensuring compliance with key proposals against received RFQs.
  • Coordinate and follow up on proposals with the sales team.
  • Assist the team in obtaining multiple quotes from new and existing vendors.
  • Develop standard procedures and produce high-level execution philosophy, project plans, design procedures, and commercial terms for customer understanding.
  • Engage in business development and negotiate prices and discount schedules with vendors.
  • Propose and design optimal control system architectures with a deep understanding of network protocols and design.
  • Ensure technical and commercial compliance of proposals, addressing any exceptions as needed and reporting them to the manager and sales team. Any gray areas and “ALL EXCEPTIONS” are to be timely reported to manager & sales team
  • Provide leadership and innovative solutions based on field experience, optimizing design efficiency.
  • Ensure the quality of product solutions as defined.
  • Comply with Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) standards in the respective domain.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s/Master Degree in engineering or in related field
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in engineering or technical sales is required. 
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of PLC/DCS-based control systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Honeywell, ABB, Schneider) and SCADA systems.
  • Strong knowledge of field instrumentation and experience in designing cost-effective solutions.
  • Experience in site work and estimating the scope for control system installation is an advantage.
  • Proven track record in estimation and proposal development for brownfield projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including effort estimation and project execution planning.
  • Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to support the sales team effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in business development.
  • Ability to develop standard procedures and documentation.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions.
