Introduction:
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

Responsibilities:
- independently conduct interviews and write up detailed notes on interviews and observation visits
- managing field work process to ensure effective use of time
- facilitating meetings among the research team and junior research staff
- training new junior staff (Lady Health Workers - LHWs / Community Health Workers - CHWs) in research / interviewing skills and proper data collection
- visiting different households in the communities to ensure the successful completion of the data collection in their areas including Q/C
- liaising with admin regarding logistics for field work
- developing and conducting regular trainings of LHWs and CHWs
- providing supervision and support for approximately LHWs / CHWs liaising with their Supervisors
- raising wider community awareness on Child Health related issues based on prepared project activity guidelines
- following and ensuring field implementation of project related SOPs / guidelines as defined in the research project.
Requirements:
You should have:
- a Bachelor’s. degree or Masters
- fresh or 01 years of experience working in reputable Healthcare sector
- the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
- sensitivity to cultural differences

- good communication and interpersonal skills
- resilience and ability to cope with work pressure
- willing to work in the communities/field sites
