Introduction:
The Aga Khan University was founded in 1983 as Pakistan’s first private university. Aga Khan University is a not-for-profit institution and an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network. Starting in 2000, the University expanded to Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, United Kingdom and Afghanistan. AKU began life as a health-sciences university.The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is the academic department of the University to support wide range in-patient and outpatient women’s healthcare services pertinent to general obstetrics and gynaeoclogy, lactation consultancy, family planning and parenting education. In addition to the core services, department also caters to wide range of specialized services such as Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogyneoclogy and Pediatrics & Adolescent gynaeoclogy.
