Aga Khan University - Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED) was established in July 1993 with the overall objective of becoming a leader in educational reform and improvement, especially in developing countries. The aim of the Institute is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of schools and other educational institutions in the country through innovation, policy development, practice, training and research.


This is a grant-funded contractual position.


Responsibilities 


You will be responsible to:


  • carry out monitoring and evaluation, data collection, and organisation of the overall project
  • manage the day-to-day operations and ensure timely execution of project activities
  • coordinate between different teams, stakeholders, and government bodies
  • organise training programmes and community awareness sessions
  • prepare and submit periodic project reports
  • conduct field visits to assess project progress and identify areas for improvement
  • engage with local communities to ensure effective project implementation
  • support in logistical arrangements for field activities and stakeholder meetings
  • maintain accurate records of project activities, challenges, and outcomes
  • assist in the procurement and distribution of materials required for field activities.

Requirements


You should have:


  • bachelor’s or master’s degree in project management, bioinformatics, data science, environmental science, public health, or a relevant field
  • at least one year of experience coordinating a project related to research, public health, environmental initiatives, or community development
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project needs and recommend improvements
  • proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting tools
  • excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • ability to multitask and manage project timelines effectively
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office.
