Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM) is part of Oracle ERP cloud applications which is also part of the Oracle Fusion cloud applications.  Oracle Fusion cloud applications is a complete cloud suite of SaaS applications with embedded artificial intelligence bring consistent processes and a single source of truth across the most important business functions—from enterprise resource planning, supply chain management, and human capital management to customer experience. 


PPM cloud applications is a complete, broad, and deep enterprise project management, spanning project planning, execution, collaboration, resource management, project costing, project billing and intelligence. It supports the full lifecycle of project management with a single, accurate view of all project-related activities. You can choose the right projects, assign the right resources, proactively streamline execution, and track profitability via accurate budgeting, forecasting, and billings/chargebacks. The solution is applicable to many industries, including professional services, engineering & construction, utilities, real estate, product development, IT and more. 


Fusion PPM development team, designs, develops and delivers these world-class cloud applications and these applications are built and deployed on today's innovative technologies including GenAI and on the next-generation enterprise applications. These are being designed to unify best of business capabilities from all Oracle Applications in a complete suite delivered on Oracle's open technology and industry standards.


Job Description 


As a manager of the Service Assurance Engineering (SAE) , you would be responsible for managing the various SAE activities for Fusion PPM development team. This includes –


Provides direct supervision to SAE team including. 


  • Develops individual work plans with employees and provides regular supervision of work and Providing detail instructions and direction to the staff for getting the assigned tasks done.
  • Facilitate career development and professional growth of staff.
  • Recommendations employment lifecycle actions (hiring, compensation, promotion and termination) to next level manager.
  • Administer company policies. 
  • Balances organizational or subject matter priorities for a project
  • Facilitates Teamwork, Leadership & Collaboration including –
  • Effectively presents ideas, both orally and in writing.
  • Analyzes and provides tactical solutions to problems.
  • Recommends improvements to defined processes and standard critical to the team success.
  • Identifies established precedents and procedures for group members. 
  • Cooperates with others who impact work processes to achieve group objectives.
  • Promote cross-functional teamwork to achieve overall objectives.

Responsible for SAE tasks that include. 


  • Ensure that the PPM Collaborate with the Development Team in analyzing the customer Service (SR) data to understand customer's pain points & the patterns in the identified issues. Based on the analyzed SR data contribute in design improvement suggestions to the Scrum Team. 
  • Collaborate with the Support Teams in Analyzing High Priority SRs, with a goal to reduce the issue resolution time and finally identify the means of issue elimination.
  • Analyze the fleet data across Fusion Project Portfolio Management products to identify the Future Investment Area's.
  • Distill multiple varied data sources into test patterns, test case improvements, and test data requirements based on user stories and acceptance criteria, including fleet usage data, customer usage patterns, service requests, and customer feedback.
  • Provide data-driven requirements for automated testing, emphasizing feature function, service excellence, monitoring, performance, resiliency, scalability, and reliability. 
  • Define quality metrics to be utilized during development, testing and deployment to assess service quality.
  • Drive and evolve the development roadmap for automated test suites for the PPM product family, including new features and growth of automation test coverage, based on the input above.
  • Partner with the service development team to influence architectural direction, long-term investments, and culture change to support service monitoring, telemetry, and automated testing inside the service.
  • Work with service development, release engineering, and automated test architects to define and evolve test case placement in the CI/CD flow.
  • Continually evaluate existing test coverage and automation frameworks, identifying requirements for redesign, replacement, reusability, and improvement in efficiency and performance.
  • Work with the automated test engineers to prioritize test defects based on business and technical risks.
  • Participate in functional and technical feature design reviews, to drive service instrumentation requirements that enable automated testing.

Job Requirements  


  • 10+ years of industry experience with enterprise applications, preferably spanning one or more of product management, development, and test.
  • Must have experience in managing a team of integrator and a team performing multi-tasking activities at the same time.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies, the testing pyramid (i.e., Unit, Integration, UI, E2E, etc.), and how they are applied in a CI/CD environment.
  • Familiar with Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development.
  • Experience with Agile software development practices.
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy, as well as participate in resolution of customer escalations and sensitive customer situations.
  • Experience gathering and transforming business requirements, market needs, and fleet data, including scalability, reliability, performance, etc., into a successful product test strategy.
  • Deep domain knowledge in one or more of financial services, project management, and/or higher education.
  • Leadership, autonomy, and business acumen in fast-paced environments – proven ability to Make sound decisions.
  • Motivate and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically using data-driven decision-making to improve customer experience.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with proven success in contributing in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Self–motivated and self-driven, continuously learning and capable of working independently.
  • BS/MS (MS preferred) in Computer Science.
