Senior Internal Audit Executive

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Internal Audit Executive to join our dynamic audit team. This role involves leading risk assessment initiatives, planning and executing audits, and delivering insightful reports. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial and IT audits, with a focus on compliance with internal control frameworks such as ICFR, COSO, and SOX.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the risk register to identify, assess, and mitigate key business risks.
• Assist in preparing the annual audit plan based on comprehensive risk assessments and evolving business needs.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform IT audits, including cybersecurity assessments and evaluation of IT controls.
• Assess Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) to ensure alignment with COSO and SOX frameworks.
• Identify control weaknesses, recommend improvements, and prepare comprehensive audit reports.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track follow-up actions.
• Evaluate business processes, financial records, and IT systems for compliance and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with management to strengthen internal controls and optimize business processes.
• Stay updated on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and best practices in audit and compliance.

Requirements

• Education: ACCA / CA Finalist / ICMA.
• Experience: 2-4 years in internal audit, risk management, or compliance roles.
• Certifications (Preferred): CISA, CIA, SOX or other relevant audit certifications.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment techniques, audit methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in IT audits, cybersecurity risk assessments, and internal controls evaluation.
• Familiarity with ICFR, COSO framework, SOX controls, and corporate governance principles.
• Excellent analytical thinking, effective communication, and strong report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
