Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following tasks.
- Conceptualize and design amazing digital content: social media campaigns, eBooks, web sites, print materials, sales decks, proposals, PDFs, etc.
- Ensure that our brand remains cutting edge, positions us ahead of our competition and adheres to our internal best practice standards.
- Ability to effectively communicate intent, plans, statuses; highlight the issues being faced; and finally devising alternatives as solutions to resolve conflicts.
- Support the Content Team to ensure that the brand is consistent, optimal and current on both the website and across all marketing channels.·
- Mentor and support the team of Graphic Designers to ensure their skills remain up to date and that they are leveraging current tools and processes to support departmental goals.
- Find ways to make complex information and interactions as simple as possible
- Ability to sketch ideas, interactions, and storyboards.
- Channeling motivation and teamwork in projects and the department, understanding how an interactive team operates within a large organization, and what is expected in critiques and team meetings.
- Communicate creative briefs and concepts to the GD team as well as set and manage expectations around work allocation support Graphic Designers to manage their time effectively in order to meet the demanding requirements of the business.
- Manage all aspects of art direction, design, copywriting for all design related projects.
- Quality control of all GD team creative outputs in line with brand standards - including proofing and reviewing deliverables and project processes.·
- Provide leadership, motivation and mentoring to the Graphic Design team with a view to aligning them with departmental goals and ensuring they have a robust performance management structure in place. Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience working within an ad/creative agency or software house environment.
- Advanced knowledge of tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and InDesign.
- Must have a strong and diverse creative / design portfolio covering corporate branding, logo design, and marketing collateral.
- Should have a solid understanding of the creative / design process.
- Possesses the ability to quickly brainstorm, conceptualize, illustrate, and storyboard creative ideas.
- Should be acquainted with branding trends, and typography.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership skills.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Must absorb pressure and collaborate with a team.
