The Role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer/ARE Dams to join our team for a dams and hydropower project based in KPK. This role focuses on inspection, monitoring, quality assurance, and reporting using relevant civil engineering standards and tools. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with design specifications and project requirements, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


  • Oversee and manage the construction activities for the dams and hydropower project, ensuring compliance with design specifications, construction drawings, and project requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project progress, including inspection records, quality control checklists, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and project stakeholders to address technical queries and ensure smooth execution of construction activities.
  • Monitor construction materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure they meet specified standards and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are maintained.
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues, providing technical guidance to contractors and workers when required.
  • Ensure all activities comply with environmental and safety regulations and policies.

With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.


Suitable applicants will have/be:


  • Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. Bachelors in Civil Engineering)
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the construction and supervision of dams, hydropower projects, or similar infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software for design, project management, and reporting (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
