Role Purpose

LRQA is looking for a talented Social Compliance Specialist to assist various customer outsourcing programs. The position will support the customer as a in house CSR specialist in Pakistan to drive social compliance and responsible sourcing compliance for factories in the region. They will work in partnership with the Senior Manager and other teams to meet customer expectations and execute against our statement of works obligations.

Role & Responsibilities

• Act as the expert and local representative on specific client assessment requirements and manage client’s risk monitoring program externally, including providing clear guidance for suppliers, responding to inquiries, regularly calibrating teams, and maintaining updated systems and documents
• Support daily operation to work closely and communicate with suppliers, vendors, and factories to ensure project delivery quality and timeline
• Work directly with factories to implement corrective actions, with a focus on de-escalating critical issues

• Organise social compliance webinar and on-site health and safety training tailoring to individual supplier’s need and engage factory to take best practices
• Coach client factories for social insurance improvement and monitor Corrective Action Plan

• Prepare data reporting, analysis, and summary reports, such as performance reporting as required (e.g. Program Trends Analysis and supply chain scorecard)
• Maintain internal guidance, standard operating procedures and instructions that allow the global supply chain meets client expectations
• Gather latest legal requirements on social compliance for the responsible region on the specific topics related to program’s requirements

• Improve supplier understanding on client requirements by introducing to company’s Social Responsibility Guidelines and Policies and visiting factory sites
• Gather latest legal requirements on social compliance in Pakistan, specially on worker benefits, such as minimum wages and worker insurance for management review
• 50% business travel required within Pakistan

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal English and native speaker in local language
• Degree or above in any disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of program / project / auditing / on-the-ground training experience in the Ethical Sourcing / Labor Compliance / Environmental monitoring arena either for brand; retailer; manufacturing group or service provider
• Good Understanding for legal requirements in Ethical Sourcing / Labor Compliance / Social Compliance / Environmental Requirements in local level;
• High level of integrity and honesty

• Hands-on factory visit and audit experience
