SEN Coordinator needed in an IB school in Hyderabad.
Immediate Joining
Role -
Special Educational Needs provides intervention to students with specific learning disabilities or other challenges that prevent them from being successful in core academic subjects
The department also interventions students who would benefit from additional enrichment as outlined in the school’s gifted and talented policy
Teaching may take place within the regular classroom, in small groups or to individual students. The focus is on intervention an inclusive, differentiated curriculum. The curriculum in the Early Years and Primary Years follows the USA International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program Grades 6-10 utilizes the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program, and Grades 11-12 utilizes the IB Diploma Program
The SEN Coordinator works with parents to identify and implement individualized education plans and other intervention
The SEN Coordinator utilizes both quantitative and qualitative feedback to identify students who would benefit from intervention
The SEN Coordinator also works with teachers to identify and implement teaching strategies that appropriately scaffold and intervention student learning.
Qualification / Experience -
Masters in Special Education or a recognized postgraduate qualification in SEN
SEN teaching experience of at least 10 years with preferably 5 years in an IB school
Confidence, knowledge and experience working with children with specific learning disabilities and children from diverse cultural backgrounds
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills
Willingness to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
Fluency and accuracy in written and spoken English
Computer skills at a level that permits the creative and effective use of technology in the classroom. MS Office Tools, Padlet, Zoom, etc
2 Saturdays working and 2 off.
