We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist
Job Detail :As a key member of the IT team, you will collaborate with various architecture teams to ensure the seamless integration of storage solutions into the organization’s broader IT infrastructure, supporting critical business applications and workloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of SAN infrastructure solutions that meet the company’s data storage needs. - Assess and define SAN architecture requirements, considering performance, capacity, and scalability. Select and configure SAN hardware (e.g., switches, storage arrays, fibre channel, and iSCSI protocols) based on best practices and industry standards. - Work with vendors to evaluate and select storage hardware and software solutions. - New Product/ Technology POC and decision making. - Observability OTEL and necessary tools for end-to-end product monitoring.
- Implementation and Integration: Oversee the implementation of SAN solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. - Configure and deploy SAN switches, storage arrays, and associated components. - Integrate SAN storage with virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and ensure compatibility with backup, disaster recovery, and archiving solutions.
- Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning: Conduct regular capacity planning to predict future storage needs and ensure the infrastructure can scale efficiently. - Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting to resolve SAN-related issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of services. - Monitor SAN health and performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Data Protection and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies for SAN storage to ensure business continuity. Ensure that data recovery processes are tested regularly and can be executed quickly in case of an outage or disaster
- Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices for SAN storage, including encryption, access control, and audit logging. - Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal security policies.
- Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, systems administrators, and application owners, to ensure storage solutions meet organizational needs. - Maintain thorough documentation for all storage designs, configurations, and procedures. - Provide training and guidance to other IT staff on SAN technologies and best practices.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of complex SAN-related issues. - Act as an escalation point for SAN storage-related incidents and service requests.
