Introduction


The Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health aims to support the introduction, scale-up and further piloting of high quality and high impact interventions to improve Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) in Pakistan by harnessing the potential of both public and private sectors, coupled with introduction of women and girls empowerment intervention.

This is a grant-funded contractual position.


Responsibilities


You will be responsible to work closely with supervisor on grant and manuscript writing and developing different study documents. Specific responsibilities include to: 


  • Develop research concept notes
  • Draft abstracts
  • Draft manuscripts 
  • Draft research reports 
  • Literature review  
  • Supervise and monitor research study activities
  • Provide training to the study staff as per the protocols and guidelines of study  
  • quality of data monitoring and validation of data 
  • Preparation and compilation of study progress report
  • In collaboration with the Data Manager, produce monthly project reports
  • Present the study results as per the requirement

Requirements


You should have: 


  • MSc. in Epidemiology and Statistics / MPH / master’s in HPM/master’s in nutrition/sociology/anthropology or any other relevant field would be preferred
  • at least three years of experience in community based research, preferably maternal and child health research 
  • Experience in writing concept notes, abstracts and manuscripts  
  • knowledge of survey and other research designs
  • strong interpersonal skills and communication
  • excellent Team Player
  • knowledge of data collection, analysis and interpretation in terms of report/manuscript writing
  • statistical understanding of data
  • experience in team management
