IntroductionThe Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level. Specific responsibilities include to:independently conduct interviews and write up detailed notes on interviews and observation visitsmanage field work process to ensure effective use of timefacilitate meetings among the research team and junior research stafftraining new junior staff (Lady Health Workers - LHWs / Community Health Workers - CHWs) in research / interviewing skills and proper data collectionvisit different hospital areas to enroll patients in the research studies, after obtaining consentsliaison with admin regarding logistics for field/hospital workdevelop and conduct regular trainings of LHWs and CHWsprovide supervision and support for approximately LHWs / CHWs liaising with their Supervisorsraise wider community awareness on Child Health related issues based on prepared project activity guidelines. RequirementsYou should have:Graduation Or Masters will be prefered1 to 2 years of relevant experience sensitivity to cultural differencesability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectivelyexcellent Team Player good communication and interpersonal Skills resilience and ability to cope with work pressurewilling to work in the communitiesComprehensive employment reference check will be conducted.
