The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-Facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Pediatrics Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology, and Vascular Surgery. The department has 120 full-time and part-time faculty committed to teaching and research. Formal structured undergraduate teaching, postgraduate residency, and fellowship programs are integrated into the academic functions of the department.

The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate in the Department of Surgery.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
·data collection from clinical areas and records, entry, analysis, cleaning, validation, and management
·study progress reports writing and timely submission, safety reporting
·coordinate investigators, research assistant, department/institution
·manuscript writing, highlight potential areas of improvement in patient care
·erc submission, annual report preparation and submission, amendment/extension request submission
·participation in regular monitoring
·grant protocol draft writing, preparing a budget
·preparing presentations and literature review
·patient recruitment, data collection, patient questionnaire administration, and patient outcome assessment
·participation in international conference abstracts, audits, etc.
Requirements:
You should have:
·graduate or post-graduate degree in a health-related field (preferably medical sciences)
·at least two years research experience in clinical or pharmaceutical sciences
·competent in MS Office, SPSS, or any image analysis software will be considered advantageous.
