Job Description
Qualification
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a receiving or warehouse role.
Requirements
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting.
Ability to guide forklifts or other material handling equipment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities
Receive and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy, including verifying quantities and checking for damages.
Record and document the receipt of goods in the inventory system, ensuring proper labelling and organization of stock.
Work closely with suppliers and shipping companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues with deliveries.
Coordinate with internal departments, such as procurement and inventory, to ensure timely receipt and availability of goods.
Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring safety standards are met.
Assist in the management of inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and reporting any discrepancies.
Prepare and distribute receiving reports to relevant departments, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Handle the safe operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts, if required, and comply with all safety guidelines.
Support the returns process by coordinating with suppliers for the return of damaged or incorrect goods.
