Job Purpose
Ensure the inspection plan for over 450 materials and more than 700 SKUs is up to date for all business units (DECO, MPY, VR, and ICO) to deliver 25 million liters volume and 9,000 batches annually.
Work independently in allocated shifts, making decisions as allowed by the autonomy section.
Supervise the quality technicians working in shifts to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
Support the quality manager in implementing license requirements (ISO 9001:2008 and PSQCA).
Assist the quality manager in implementing new product developments and scale-ups at the site.
Ensure that the products delivered to customers meet the agreed quality standards using standard quality inspection plans.
Liaise with RD&I to support production in rectifying "out of spec" manufactured batches.
Key Accountabilities
Assist the quality manager in implementing site QSAQ.
Responsible for conducting measurement system analysis (MSA), generating gap analyses, and ensuring implementation.
Ensure loss and waste analysis is performed for monitoring and controlling cost heads.
Conduct supplier and customer visits as required.
Ensure hygiene protocol is followed during his/her shift.
Ensure the retained sample protocol is followed during his/her shift.
Introduce advanced testing methods to improve consistency and statistical control of product quality.
Approve or reject all finished goods for the Paints & Coatings business.
Approve or reject packaging materials as per specifications agreed with suppliers based on the certificate of analysis (COA).
Review product and process specifications, identify gaps, and work with the quality manager to correct them to prevent customer complaints.
Maintain retained samples of finished goods according to guidelines.
Provide guidance to quality technicians to ensure the effectiveness of quality processes.
Maintain accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis for continuous quality process improvement.
Assist the quality manager in the timely collection of KPI data and integrate it into monthly manufacturing reports and integrated quality reviews (IQRs).
Ensure all QHSE&S rules and regulations, including good housekeeping practices, are followed in the quality control lab.
Maintain a continuous improvement (CI) culture in the quality lab, lead T1 meetings, and attend T2 meetings daily.
Experience
1 to 3 years of experience in the chemical industry, preferably in the Quality department.
Operating knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of applicable HSE procedures for the chemical industry.
Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing.
Works effectively with co-workers and peers as a team player.
Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a reputed university
