Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled
QA Tester - API Specialist with extensive experience in software testing, particularly within the airline domain. The role focuses on validating and testing airline Passenger Service Systems (PSS), including inventory, pricing, booking, and payment processes, for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in manual and automated API testing, functional testing, and database validation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in a dynamic environment.
Must-Have Skillsets (Mandatory):- Airline Industry Experience: Minimum 3-4 years in the airline domain with a comprehensive understanding of Passenger Service Systems (PSS) processes.
- Testing Proficiency:
- 5-8 years of software testing experience, including:
- API testing using tools like Postman (minimum 3 years).
- Functional testing (execution and preparation of functional/UI test cases).
- UI testing (minimum 4 years).
- Database testing with MongoDB, Oracle, or NoSQL databases.
- Defect Management: Proven ability to identify, document, and resolve defects efficiently.
- Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to work with QA Team Leads and cross-functional teams.
- Test Strategy and Planning: Expertise in creating test strategies, plans, and effective test reports.
Good-to-Have Skillsets (Optional):- Test Automation:
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium or Test Complete.
- Experience with API automation using Rest Assured or similar tools.
- Performance Testing: Familiarity with JMeter for API-level performance testing.
- Cross-Browser Testing: Experience with cloud-based testing tools like BrowserStack and Lambda Test.
- Additional Tools: Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and UI automation tools.
Qualifications & Experience:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Work Experience:
- Senior QA: 8-10 years of experience in software testing, including significant airline domain expertise (minimum 4 years).
- Junior QA: 6-8 years of experience, with at least 3 years in the airline domain.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in website testing, functional testing, and API testing.
- Experience in developing test cases and comprehensive documentation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for effective team collaboration.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities to address complex testing challenges.
