Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer with extensive experience in the airline industry, specializing in Passenger Service Systems (PSS) and air cargo booking systems. The ideal candidate will develop test strategies, create detailed test cases, and execute both manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions and demands a proactive approach to process improvement, defect management, and mentorship of junior team members.
Must Have Skillsets:
- Industry Experience: Comprehensive experience, at least 3 years, in the airline industry, with knowledge of Passenger Service Systems (PSS) and air cargo booking/revenue management systems.
- Testing Expertise:
  - 4+ years in software testing and QA, with proficiency in functional, non-functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  - Hands-on experience, at least 3 years, with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) and database testing using SQL.
  - Website testing with at least 3 years (cross browser testing experience included)
  - Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT, Appium) and mobile testing platforms like BrowserStack or Perfecto Mobile.
  - Strong understanding of exploratory testing, system regression testing, and defect management.
- Technical Skills:
  - Proficiency in programming languages like Java or Python.
  - Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, .NET, and basic web development concepts for test scenario creation.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile/Scrum practices, including defect tracking and reporting in tools like JIRA or VSO.
- Collaboration & Communication: Proven ability to work closely with development teams, create detailed test reports, and maintain clear documentation.
Good to Have Skillsets:
- Leadership: Experience mentoring QA team members and fostering a collaborative, improvement-focused culture.
- Domain Knowledge: Knowledge of holiday business processes, travel industry systems (e.g., Travel Box), and community management applications.
- Additional Testing Tools: Experience with cloud-based testing tools and performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Community Engagement: Contributions to technical communities or open-source projects (e.g., GitHub, StackOverflow).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 4–6 years in QA, with specific experience in the airline or travel industry.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous learning. Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and independently, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
