Project Manager

Job Brief
We are looking for a Project Manager/Delivery Manager to lead multiple development squads in the successful execution of key initiatives. The PM will work closely with Program Managers, Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering Squads to break down initiatives into actionable tasks, ensure smooth execution, and address any blockers. This role requires strong PM expertise for managing backend systems, microservices, mobile applications, and web applications, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Squad Execution Leadership: Lead multiple development squads, ensuring clear task breakdowns, prioritization, and efficient execution of initiatives.
• Collaboration with Program Management: Work closely with Program Managers to align squad-level execution with overall business objectives and program milestones.
• Task Breakdown: Collaborate with architects and engineering leads to decompose high-level initiatives into well-defined tasks for the squads.
• Requirement Clarification: Proactively work with Product Managers to address missing or ambiguous requirements, ensuring teams have the necessary details to execute effectively.
• Sprint Planning & Execution: Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups, ensuring squads are focused and delivering value.
• Risk Management & Issue Resolution: Identify technical and execution risks early and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues proactively.
• Progress Tracking & Reporting: Monitor squad progress, remove impediments, and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, Engineering Management, or a similar role in software development.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science field only. 
• IT Background: Strong understanding of backend systems, microservices architecture, cloud platforms, mobile applications (iOS & Android), and web applications. Prior experience as a software developer or architect is a plus.
• Agile Expertise: Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and proficiency in Jira or similar tools for backlog management and tracking.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and architecture, to drive execution.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify gaps, resolve issues, and ensure smooth project execution with minimal bottlenecks.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Jira for project tracking and agile workflow management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in telecom, fintech, or high-scale digital platforms.
• Knowledge of DevOps operations and release management practices
• Familiarity with large-scale, distributed systems and data-intensive applications.
• Experience managing squads that develop API-driven mobile platforms and integrations.
