Programmer Analyst, Paediatrics & Child Health -MC

Introduction:

The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for the betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit, both at the national and international level.

Job Role / Responsibilities:

The position will be responsible for current process automation and working on the project by applying data analytics and data science techniques to undertake data collection, pre-processing and analysis, building models to address research questions, and presenting information using data visualization techniques. Specific responsibilities include:

• rectify/modify resolves errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure that thedesired results are produced• create and maintain software applications and gain knowledge of the existing applications, both the technical andbusiness aspects• participate in all phases of application development, i.e., study, analysis, design, development, and implementation.• enhance program codes if some new addition is required, and to design and code Forms and Reports as per thedatabase design prepared by the DB programmer.• prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation.• troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software along with the databases to ensure strong functional.• rectify/modify resolves errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure that thedesired results are produced.• create and maintain software applications and gain knowledge of the existing applications, both the technical andbusiness aspects.• participate in all phases of application development, i.e., study, analysis, design, development, and implementation.

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:

You should have:

• • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering• minimum 2 - 3 years of experience• excellent problem-solving and analytical skills• effective communication skills• excellent communication and presentation skills; experience presenting insights to technical and• non-technical colleagues• mature, reliable and responsible• able to understand and follow instruction• ability to speak and understand job related English and Urdu• skills in data collection, management, analysis, and interpretation
