Overview:
7Vals is seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive the vision and development of our patch management product functionality. While direct patch management experience is a plus, we are equally interested in candidates with robust product management backgrounds who demonstrate strong technical acumen, rapid learning ability, and a proactive mindset. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the product strategy, managing the roadmap, and ensuring our solution meets our customers’ security needs by streamlining patch deployment across various operating systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap:
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the patch management solution.
- Define, prioritize, and manage the product roadmap based on market trends, customer feedback, and business goals.

Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Collaborate closely with engineering, security, QA, sales, and customer support teams to drive product development.
- Serve as the liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication.

Market & Customer Focus:
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends in patch management and security.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs, challenges, and feedback, translating insights into actionable product enhancements.

Technical Oversight & Learning:
- Partner with technical teams to ensure robust patch deployment processes across diverse operating systems.
- For candidates new to patch management, demonstrate an ability to quickly learn the domain and apply best practices.
- Ensure the product adheres to security and compliance standards, proactively addressing vulnerabilities.

Performance & Success Measurement:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product adoption, customer satisfaction, and market impact.
- Utilize data-driven insights to drive iterative improvements and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, ideally within technology or security-focused industries.
- A strong technical foundation and demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technical domains.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A proven learning agility and appetite for acquiring new domain expertise
- Direct patch management experience is a big plus
