Qualification
Minimum bachelors degree in Engineer, Business, Economics or Law. Masters degree in business administration (MBA) or a related field is preferred
Experience
7+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, providing support to operations in comparable environment (mining or industrial sector).
Requirements
- Proven track record of developing and implementing procurement strategies, leading teams, and driving process improvements.
- Expertise in procurement software such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar systems.
- Strong analytical and data management skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop insights.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and ethical sourcing principles.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the overall business objectives of the Company.
- Oversee the entire procurement cycle, from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Lead and manage a team of buyers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee the sourcing process for all categories of goods and services, ensuring best value and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and conduct spend analysis.
- Negotiate complex contracts and manage vendor relationships at a strategic level.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies in procurement.
- Lead initiatives to streamline and automate procurement processes, leveraging technology solutions and data analytics.
- Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, driving continuous improvement in procurement efficiency.
- Build a high-performing procurement team through effective training, and development initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing updates on procurement activities and resolving issues promptly.
