Job Description
  • Providing technical support to the site operations including optimizing the manufacturing processes including the  production cost reduction, scrap and set-up time.
  • Focusing on initiatives that improve productivity and support quality enhancements, while increasing throughput production capabilities and efficiencies
  • Solving process issues associated with process equipment and/or product performance
  • Supporting safety initiatives, programs and daily requirements
  • Supporting Marketing and Product Development/BO teams during new product communications
  • Lead cost-out initiatives on specific products to lower cost by maintaining the same level of quality, thus improving margins on the products
  • Conducting process and equipment evaluations and develop operating parameters
  • Developing and maintaining a network of reputable vendors/suppliers and drive facility-wide continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conducting process optimization DOE’s in order to increase line speeds, decrease changeover times, and improve product yields
  • Providing leadership for production by creating a motivating environment for team members to meet and exceed facility goals for safety, service, quality, productivity, cost, and inventory control targets
  • Collaborating and partnering with technical and support resources in resolving problems and developing improved manufacturing and support processes through lean sigma tools
  • Participating in investigation and implementation of corrective action plans

Qualifications

2-3 years of experience with Bachelors/ Masters in Industrial or Mechanical or Electronics Engineer



Additional Information
  • Working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow and improvement strategies (e.g. ELS, continuous flow, cellular etc.) and the ability to integrate those into the operation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within the manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills in strategy, communication at all levels and execution.
  • Strong leadership skills.  Ability to lead, contribute, and influence others in a team-based organization
  • Excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.
