Job Description:
Principal Unity Developer
We are seeking a Principal Unity Developer who will lead the development and technical implementation of game projects using Unity. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create high-quality, engaging, and innovative gaming experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of Unity and excellent coding skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership
Lead the development process for games built in Unity, from prototyping to release.
Define and enforce technical standards, best practices, and coding guidelines forthe team.
Architect and implement robust, scalable, and efficient systems.
2. Team Collaboration and Mentorship
Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and producers to align technical solutions with creative visions.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for project stakeholders.
3. Development and Optimization
Write, test, and maintain high-quality, performant C# code.
Optimize games for performance across multiple platforms, including PC, consoles, and mobile.
Integrate third-party tools, SDKs, and plugins as needed.
4. Problem Solving and Innovation
Identify and resolve complex technical challenges during the game development lifecycle.
Research and implement emerging technologies and trends in gaming.
Drive innovation by proposing new tools, techniques, and workflows to enhance development.
Skills/Qualifications
8+ years of professional experience in game development, with at least 5 years using Unity.
Proven track record of shipping multiple high-quality games on different platforms.
Expert-level proficiency in C# and Unity.
Strong understanding of 3D mathematics, physics, and rendering pipelines.
Experience with multiplayer systems, networking, and backend integration is a plus.
Familiarity with asset pipelines and optimization techniques.
Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
Experience mentoring developers and leading technical teams.
Ability to manage deadlines and deliverables in an agile development environment.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 8+ years
Working Days &Timings : Monday to Friday (timing depends on project)
