Job Description
The Principal Systems Technician at Inbox Business Technologies will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization's systems and infrastructure. This role involves a mix of hands-on technical work, mentoring junior technicians, and collaborating with other teams to ensure robust and secure operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with system administration, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware systems, including servers, storage devices, and peripherals, to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor hardware performance, diagnose issues, and perform troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
- Lead hardware upgrade and maintenance tasks, ensuring that necessary patches, firmware updates, and hardware components are consistently maintained.
- Develop and document hardware management procedures and best practices for maintenance, installation, and system integration.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting techniques, and effective system management practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new hardware technologies and enhance overall system functionality.
- Manage hardware backup and recovery processes, ensuring hardware components are reliable and data integrity is maintained.
- Stay updated on the latest hardware trends and technologies to ensure the organization’s systems remain competitive and efficient.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing after-hours support for hardware-related issues and system recovery when required.
