Qualification

Bachelor's degree in transportation management, logistics, project management, or similar preferred.

Experience

Minimum 5 years experience as a logistics/ transportation specialist in a related industry.

Responsibilities

• The Load Master will be responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of cargo from ships
• Ensure that all procedures are carried out safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with the ship's crew (Breakbulk vessels, port authorities, and other stakeholders to coordinate the process.
• Be responsible for ensuring that all relevant regulations and safety standards are adhered to.
• Manage the loading and unloading of cargo using cranes, conveyor belts, or other equipment.
• Verify cargo quantities and maintain accurate recordkeeping throughout the operation.
• Laison with the transport team to ensure the right sort of vehicle is placed for the right dimensions and type of cargo.
• Laison with the Clearing agent to ensure all documentation is in place to clear the cargo from port.
• Laison with the trade team to ensure that the vessel arrival is on time and that all documentation related to vessel berthing is in place.
