Job Summary
- The role involves to foresee the movement of goods between the home country and other countries. Ensure that the IFFCO comply with the rules and regulations of the home country as well as the exporting country. Maintaining healthy relationships with the government agencies, clients, vendors & arranging meetings with the clients regularly for relationship management.
- To execute purchase strategy, internal and external policies, processes and metrics as one full support function in the Business Unit.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Import :
- Handle various procurement functions for value engineering and to achieve quality, cost, and speed to ensure budget savings. Implement the best suited procurement practices that will benefit the company and improvement of the process.
- Establish operational tie-ups with financially strong/reliable suppliers; strengthen vendor source & develop alternate source of suppliers.
- Organize various kinds of logistics related information and regular follow up with the shipping companies.
- Proper coordination with supply chain planner to get the updated forecast file and review accordingly.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for international purchases including long terms contracts
- Establish MOQ’s (Minimum order Quantity) for trading items and the re order inventory levels based on lead times and consumption.
- Optimize the service and quality elements of contracts, identify areas of improvement, engage pro-actively with suppliers and manufacturing to implement these improvements.
- Proactively engage suppliers on New Product Development.
- Support initiatives of materials vendor development and material specifications.
- To prepare the planning sheet and closely coordinating with respective category managers.
- Coordination with MDM for item code and vendor creation.
- Coordinate with supplier and import documents for clearing process
- To Apply item label in government system and constant follow up until is approved.
- Follow up on FIRS (Food Import request service) and taking necessary action to close.
- Collecting the clearing charges from the clearing agent and updating the LCM (Landed Cost Module) with confirmation of Finance.
- Manage coverage of Insurance on all Import consignments.
- Manage material receiving against PO after updating the LCM (Landed Cost Module).
- Transfer of stock against IR (Internal Requisition) with coordination of warehouse.
- Coordinate supplier payments with the Finance.
- Initiate the cost optimization projects
- Proactively collect and disseminate appropriate market intelligence on vendors, supplies and competition.
2. Export:
- Coordinate export orders and prepare export documents
- Receive order from customer and prepare PI (Performa Invoice) to the customer
- Collection of TP (Transfer price) from different BU’s and coordination with finance to update buying price
- Application of various documents like Health certificate/ COO (Certificate of Origin) through government site / Chamber of commerce site against BU providing HC (Health Certificate) and COO (Certificate of Origin).
- Management of stock receiving process.
- Coordinate with warehouse team to generate the invoice against receiving stock.

Work experience requirement
- Total work experience in Supply Chain for 8+ years.
- 5+ years’ experience in similar role in the assigned ountry in FMCG, preferably dealing with food (Supply chain Management) for import and export.
Qualification
- Must have a Bachelor degree in business or management related field.
- MBA degree in business or management related field is desirable.
