Job Title: PCB Design Engineer

Purpose of the job

• Managing design and development of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) in compliance with DFM (Design For Manufacturing) and the constraints of electronic designers QCD commitments.
• Applying applicable Metier instructions, processes & tools

Organizational Reporting

• The PCB Designer will be part of the hardware engineering team of Hyderabad   

Responsibilities

PCB Designers are involved with the design, fabrication, and modification PCB/CCA designs and associated component library maintenance. The PCB designer evaluates and executes design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or services.

• Interpret electrical schematics and develop complex PCBs designs
• Interpret electrical schematics and develop complex PCBs designs with the use of Siemens/Mentor CAD/CAM tools while adhering to industry standards, requirements, and contract manufacture capabilities.
• Ability to update schematics with oversight of design engineer
• Design of advanced multilayer PCB Designs and layout
• Ensure generation of detailed and accurate documentation for complex printed circuit boards conforming to applicable IPC and Alstom standards (Design For Manufacturing, Test & Repair..
• Manage Alstom’s PCB component Library
• Analyze, develop and recommend design approaches.
• Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
• Experience with PCB design for EMI/EMC compliance
• Experience with PCB Thermal and power dissipation designs
• Experience with Analog and Digital Segregation
• Experience with PCB design for small signal, high-resolution sampling and differential pairs
• Perform initial and ongoing design reviews
• Resolve PCB Design issues with fabrication and manufacturing vendors
• Participate and provide input into process improvement, PCB and DFM checklists and guidelines
• Experience with PCB layer stackup and fabrication process

Educational Requirements

• Technical education.
• English read, written, spoken

Desired Knowledge / Experience

• Engineering with 15+ years’ experience in designing multilayer PCB
• Current working experience with Valor
• Altium PCB Design Tools experience
• Mentor Graphics Xpedition or PADS Design Tool knowledge
• Knowledge of DC-DC power converters, isolation, high speed interconnects such as PCIE, Gb Ethernet, DDR3/DDR4 Memory bus, USB
