Job Summary


As a Payments Lifecycle associate within our Custody Middle Office, you will be responsible for managing the Authentication function for flawless delivery, accountable for proper change management & process improvement. This role provides an opportunity to efficiently execute daily tasks within a highly controlled framework, demonstrating expertise in signature validation for client trade and payment instructions.


Job Responsibilities


  • Efficiently execute daily business-as-usual (BAU) tasks within a highly controlled framework, demonstrating expertise in signature validation for client trade and payment instructions.
  • Ensure clarity and verification of beneficiary account details during callbacks for outgoing payments from JPM.
  • Publish and review daily and weekly performance metrics, identifying and tracking deviations from agreed levels or expected behavior, and ensure follow-up and escalation of all aging items.
  • Conduct timely reviews and certifications of authentication procedures, operating service agreements, and business resiliency plans, while continuously improving productivity benchmarks.
  • Actively participate in forums such as Product, Client Service, and Strategy to analyze market changes and drive tech initiatives that meet client expectations and internal goals.
  • Foster team resiliency and backups through active involvement in daily activities and training, and collaborate with Operations Control Management and Risk teams for QA testing, MIS, and audits.
  • Play a key role in audit reviews and internal calls, representing Authentication to enhance customer satisfaction while maintaining controls to avoid audit and compliance issues, and conduct performance appraisals for the team, setting goals and objectives.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 


  • Possess extensive operational experience in custody and fund services, markets, or prime brokerage, with the ability to adapt to tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proactively driving change and enhancing controls.
  • Capable of navigating a dynamic business environment, maintaining a control-focused approach, and understanding program/project risks.
  • Anticipate potential issues and proactively drive initiatives to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills, effectively conveying strategic messages and linking them to individual goals and achievements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, using influence to promote change and proactively identifying and escalating issues.
  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to create clear storyboards using PowerPoint.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 


  • Approach planning, problem-solving, and decision-making logically and systematically, while being a self-starter who manages team workload and deliverables effectively.
  • Collaborate with groups outside the team's reporting line, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of financial markets products and the transaction lifecycle in custody, with expertise in Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Collateral, and Derivatives preferred.
