Formal Accident Investigation Training (e.g. ICAM / Taproot / Loss Causation) - preferred
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience working in Construction / Resources industries.
Demonstrated site work experience internationally in an oil & gas, mining and/or construction environment.
Requirements
Significant relevant health and safety experience, with practical understanding of H&S regulatory environments, practices and general H&S systems and procedures.
Excellent understanding in developing OH&S strategies.
Strong analytical skills and accurate business judgement.
Prove track record of working successfully in a multi-cultural environment.
Experience with H&S Systems and Processes.
H&S standard (OHSAS 18001, Safety Auditor, Risk Management process) and government safety regulation.
Knowledge of Internal Audit ISO14001 and ISO 45001.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Good computing skills.
Responsibilities
Provide support to the OHS Manager in the communication, effective operation and continual improvement review of the Health and Safety (HS) components of the Company’s Health & Safety Management System across RDMC premises.
Provide support to the other functions within the OHS&T Department (i.e., Medical, Hygiene, Emergency etc.)
Provide timely, accurate and relevant health and safety related services and support to the site managers.
Liaise with contractors in relation to OH&S activities.
Support in the implementation of OHH programs in his area of responsibilities.
Preparing sustainable annual audit and inspection schedules to ensure compliance to H&S Management Standards at RDMC.
Provide support and stewardship as required with the company behaviour-based safety programs.
Maintain sound working relationships based on mutual trust, with key stakeholders, to ensure H&S work is executed in alignment with the requirements of the operations.
Review practices and procedures to assess risk and adherence to H&S legislation and communicate changes as required.
Coordinate risk management processes and supporting departments in the development of material risk reduction actions plans and strategies.
Provide support and guidance with the back-to-back role Emergency Response Lead for the development and training of the site Emergency Response Team.
Coordinate, as required, the roll out of H&S fundamentals initiatives, training, and coaching programs such as pre-shift meetings presentations, quality safety interactions and leadership in field programs.
Mentoring, coaching, supporting, and influencing line leaders with the utilization of safety tools and standards (Critical Risk Control Management, In-Control system and MoC).
Coordinate the delivery of programs for incident management including investigation support, analysis, corrective action development and moderate quality control of incident data.
