Microbiologist

Job Purpose

Inspection and analyzing materials, in process batches and/or finished products ensuring that QC methods, instruments and procedures meet cGMP, EHS, QMS, SOPs, Corporate requirement and regulatory standards.

Education, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology/Science or equivalent experience in Quality
• 0 to 1 years’ experience/fresh is required as it is a junior position, and inductee will be trained but one years’ experience will be beneficial.
• Good communication skills
• IT skills (Microsoft, word, Excel and Power point)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform bioassay of products and APIs, perform sterility testing, perform environmental monitoring of aseptic area and non-sterile production facility, perform water testing, Perform MLT testing, Perform DOP testing, Preparation of media. All testing to be performed in accordance with GSK specifications. Maintain the relevant analytical record in relevant logbooks and performance of trending as per schedule.
• Perform validation and calibration of micro lab equipment as per schedule.
• Perform analytical testing method validation as per schedule.
• Ensure compliance to Corporate HR/IT policies.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area i.e. Housekeeping
• Ensure compliance to regulatory requirement in area of authority.
• Responsible to raise and report any misconduct.
• Participate in self-inspection.
• Performance of stability testing and reporting.
• Raise change control, deviation and OOS as per requirement.
