Specific responsibilities associated with the role include:Conducting ward rounds on patients to assess their condition and the outcome/follow-up of morning orders.Coordinating patients identified as ‘possible’ and definite ‘discharges’ one day prior.Issuing and placing discharge orders for all patients (after having the orders counter-checked by a senior oncology resident) to meet discharge criteria.Ensuring timely entry and administration of chemotherapy orders.When posted in the clinics, responsible for evaluating and coordinating outpatient chemotherapy for oncology patients.Following up with orders and tests, and coordinating the multidisciplinary evaluation of patients.Staying updated on clinical practice guidelines, pathways, and hospital protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.Remaining vigilant about adherence to quality and infection control policies and practices during clinical practice. RequirementsYou should have:An MBBS degree along with MCPS, FCPS-I or MRCP-I completed.A valid PMDC license and BLS certificate.Minimum 1-2 years’ relevant experience (proven experience in oncology or a related field is preferred).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with the attending physician and other members of the oncology team.Willingness to participate in night calls every fourth day (at times, alternate/third day) with flexibility in working hours based on patient load.Note: Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
