Position Overview:

We’re looking for a SOC Manager in Security Team - APAC region for Cloudways and DigitalOcean to solve large-scale security challenges while reducing their impact and burden on engineering.As a member of the Security Team - APAC, you will report to Sr. Director of Cyber Security APAC. You will collaborate with other security teams and the rest of DigitalOcean to guide secure architecture design and reduce security risk in the organization through the construction of guardrails and paved paths that empower engineers to make informed security decisions. Security at DO means solving incredibly complex problems at a high-scale that have real impact for our customers, our products, and for the larger internet community. 


What You’ll Do:
  • Lead the operations of the SOC -APAC team to ensure optimal identification / resolution of security incidents and enhance client security.
  • Ensure SLA compliance, process adherence, process improvement to meet operational objectives
  • Develop/maintain/adhere to an incident response management program that includes incident detection, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery and chain of evidence / forensic artifacts required for additional investigations
  • Ability to work directly with customers to ensure not only resolution management but also customer satisfaction.
  • Creation of reports, dashboards, metrics for SOC operations and presentation to Management.
  • Manage the process improvement program for SOC processes.
  • Conduct scheduled and ad hoc training exercises to ensure staff are current with the latest threats and incident response techniques.
  • Provide direction, leadership, and management of SOC personnel.
  • Establish performance goals and priorities.
  • Administer performance reviews for SOC personnel.
What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean:
  • Perform Abuse/threat hunting and review, triage, investigate and escalate security alerts raised by security tools, technologies, and services (e.g. endpoint security, network security, SIEM, reported phishing emails, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Cloud Security and related threat models
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO27001, SOC2, SOX, GDPR, OWASP Top 10, CIS benchmarks
  • Effective team and presentation skills.
  • Stay current with the latest security news, threats, intelligence, tactics, techniques, and vulnerabilities. Research and analyze new threats and vulnerabilities to determine exposure.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree/diploma/certifications in a technology-related field and/or relevant working experience; highly desired certifications include: PenTest+, Security+, OSCP, CCSP, CEH, GCIH, GMON or CISSP
  • 4+ Years experience of handling SOC, Abuse Operations
  • 7-8 years experience of Security Operations management, incident response
  • Good experience of SIEM concepts and hands-on experience on SIEM tools such as Elastic, SPLUNK, Qradar 
  • Expertise and experience in security operational services: unified threat management, anti-virus, DDOS, threat and vulnerability management, cyber investigations, and cyber security forensic investigations.
  • Advanced knowledge of best practice standards and procedures regarding information systems applications security, data security, and infrastructure security.
  • Strong time management and leadership skills.
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of networking and security fundamentals.
  • Ability to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality.
