As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and community banking technology team, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team’s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
Job responsibilities
- Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
- Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
- Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Experience leading technology projects
- Experience in Monitoring the SNOW tickets and handling them.
- Proficient in implementing CICD using Jules.
- Experience in handling the RTE(Run The Engine) Changes such as Java Version Upgrades, Photon Upgrades, Cert renewals, SSAP Vulnerabilities etc.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
- Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
- Experience in Building CICD pipelines for AWS apps using IAC/EAC
- Experience in Source code management, incident management, Change Management
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiar with Data Center Migration
- Strong knowledge of telemetry, monitoring, and alerting frameworks such as Splunk, Dyntrace, Grafana etc..
- Deep understanding of public and private cloud architectures, including AWS and on-premises solutions.
