Your New Role:
The Manager of Global Media Operations will oversee the daily Global Media operation, ensuring that proper standards and outputs are met. The Supervisor will also be responsible forestablishing and implementing requirements with neighboring departments (clients, external & internal partners). 




Your Role Accountabilities:



Operation



  • Serve as point of contact for internal/external clients and staff during assigned shift.



  • Monitor internal systems for incoming Acquisition and QC tasks. 



  • Work with GMO Management team to ensure client expectations and completion of work are met.



  • Coordinate QC workflow status and results with GMO Management and Stakeholder groups.



  • Pro-actively and collaboratively identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues.



  • Provide daily shift reports.



  • Work with GMO Management to analyze, plan and execute process changes in response to changing client and technical requirements, and to improve departmental throughput and efficiency.



  • Perform other duties, as assigned.



Leadership



  • Supervise direct reports which will include the following:



  • Communicating and delegating operational priorities.



  • Actively prioritizing operational workload and staff work assignments.



  • Coordinating and approving time off requests.



  • Conducting staff meetings.



  • Meeting with staff one on one regularly to discuss performance.



  • Encouraging open feedback from direct reports to contribute to operational efficiency.



  • Ensuring shift coverage.



  • Training new staff.




Qualifications & Experiences:



  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a Media Operation quality control and/or duplication environment, or within a post-production facility. 3+ years of experience in a managerial role.



  • Fluent in English



  • Quick problem solver, team player, good time management skills



  • Excellent oral and written communication skills



  • Great organizational and interpersonal skills



  • Must demonstrate knowledge of technical media concepts – video, audio, composite, component and digital.



  • Familiarity with equipment and techniques used in Media quality control and encoding processes and evaluations.



  • This position is considered an essential position that supports 24/7 operations.



Not Required but preferred experience:



  • Candidate should have a technical management background and familiarity with supervising technical workers.  



  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, comfort with teaching and instruction.



  • Mult-lingual



  • Experience with Non-linear editing software
