Job Description

Job Purpose


This is a Global Security Manager (JG 70) position to cover Pakistan. The Manager in this position will be expected to protect the Company’s personnel, assets as well as real and intellectual property, reputation, and the integrity of our medicines.


Within the Global Security organization hybrid model, this position supports physical security matters as well as product integrity for patient safety as directed by Regional Senior Director, and acts as a Global Security single point of contact for Pakistan.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES


Physical Risk Mitigation (PRM)


Manage the PRM Program to ensure compliance with the Global Security Minimum Security Requirements (MSR) and Third-Party Security Requirements, at both internal Pfizer Sites as well as 3rd party Contracted Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and Logistic Service Providers (LSPs).


Manage & monitor security assessment remediation plan(s) completion. Collaborate with the PRM Assessment Program Lead and Regional Senior Director


Serve as a Global Security Point of Contact (GSPOC) in Pakistan


Advise crisis management teams, plans and activities; serve as an advisor between the site/country crisis management teams and the corporate crisis management team.


Apply security technical expertise to assist regional sites implement company standard technology solutions aligned with global risk mitigation initiatives. Collaborates with the Physical Risk Mitigation Technical Operations Program Lead.


Support investigations across cross functional groups such as People Experience, Compliance, Legal, and Employee Relations.


Chair multidisciplinary teams for short duration projects focused on compliance, regulatory or threat-based initiatives.


Influence senior site/country leader’s evaluation, selection, and integration of SSOs; promote the SSO role within all core business functions.


Act independently with time and to address local security/risk concerns, support site crisis management plans and training, evaluate country lead’s’ protection posture, and maintain a cooperative working relationship with law enforcement officials sites in the designated region.


Provides executive protection for Pfizer executives visiting the area of responsibility


Product Integrity for Patient Safety – PIPS


Identify and develop sources of information and other investigative actions to facilitate Product Integrity investigations and resolve other investigative matters that impact the Pfizer business activities in Pakistan.


Coordinate investigations as appropriate with Foreign and U.S. law enforcement agencies; monitor all investigations until a full resolution is reached as determined by the GS Sr. Director.


Responsible for working with investigative and empowered legal consultants to develop intelligence, providing investigative leads and facilitate criminal investigations in concert with foreign law enforcement agencies and government officials.


Manage external consultants, negotiate contracts, provide leadership and guidance to consultants once retained, and assess their accountability and value of services provided to GS and Pfizer business colleagues


Develop and present Product Integrity awareness training regarding Pfizer products and anti-counterfeiting strategies to protect Pfizer trademarks in the market to law enforcement and government officials as required by the GS Sr. Director.


Document all investigative matters and activities in the Pfizer GS data base for review by the GS Sr. Director


Maintain an excellent working relationship with all Pfizer business and GS colleagues


Develop and investigates collateral maters from other GS Directorates as assigned by the GS Sr. Director.


Implement and guide regional or country level anti-counterfeiting working groups or task forces to develop country-specific strategies to generate intelligence on counterfeiting


Develop and maintain sound liaison with local law enforcement and regulatory agencies as well as US officials in the region

Skills / Knowledge / Qualification / Experience


  • 10 or more year’s of experience in physical risk mitigation and/or 10 or more years’ experience in investigation of product integrity matters is required
  • Excellent organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and capable of working independently or as a part of a team required
  • Demonstrating the ability to communicate and present clearly and concisely at a superior level, both written and orally in fluent English for the purpose of referring cases to Ministries of Health and law enforcement agencies, required
  • Bachelors’ degree
  • Graduation degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of international trade practices, freight forwarding, and international transfer of funds preferred
  • Experience with fraud investigations is preferred
  • Knowledge about pharmaceutical supply chain is preferred
  • Knowledge about business acumen is preferred
  • Preference given for demonstrated successful examples of working with vetted US Embassy LE teams.
