Job Overview:
As a Legal Counsel, you'll provide legal guidance and support on various matters related to contracts, compliance, intellectual property, and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help navigate legal complexities, minimize risks, and ensure our IT company operates within the bounds of the law while fostering a culture of ethical conduct.
Job Responsibilities:
Work on the most exciting legal issues and proactively assess legal risks and advise on products.
Support CureMD teams in the U.S., Canada and Pakistan, negotiating, drafting, and advising on strategic enterprise agreements and technology licensing agreements.
Advise on regulatory and compliance issues.
Assist with global expansion, ensuring that initiatives fall under regulatory ambit.
Handle transactions ranging from standard contracts to complex, high-dollar-value strategic agreements, such as data use agreements, technology licensing agreements, joint research projects.
Manage legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
Monitor proposed and existing legislation and other changes in the legal environment or industry practice affecting the organization.
Advise management and others senior personnel on appropriate legal courses of action to meet Company and business unit needs.
Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
Communicate and negotiate with external parties, creating relations of trust.
Specialize in intellectual property law, including the filing and prosecution of patents, managing copyright issues, and addressing trademark matters with local and international regulatory authorities.
Oversee the company's IP portfolio, ensuring proper registration, maintenance, and protection of all IP assets.
Develop and implement, and advise on strategic IP protection and enforcement, tailored to the legal frameworks of different jurisdictions.
Qualifications:
L.L.B. / L.L.M with 2+ years of transaction/corporate experience (1 year of litigation experience with a law firm is preferred).
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Track record of drafting, reviewing, and revising agreements coupled with outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Competent in legal research.
Ability to work during U.S shift (5:30 PM till 2:30 AM).
