Job Description

Job Purpose


Management of the organization, personnel and training system at the Site ensuring all the employees are trained, skilled and competent on the relevant pharmaceutical standards along with the inspection and testing of packaging material in- line with the approved standards and specification to support business and swift operations.


Education, Experience & Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Pharmaceutics
  • 1-3 years of experience in inspection and testing of packaging materials, analytical techniques, development of packaging analytical methods and specifications, vendor management, complaints, investigations and RCA and artwork management.
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities


Training Coordinator


  • Ensure the in- place and in- use of the Training Management System at site in-line with the local procedure, policies and QMS requirements.
  • Management of job descriptions of all employees and departmental organograms.
  • Management of MyLearning Training System to add, revise, modify and delete the training items, curricula, and job codes aligned with the training needs and job description.
  • Ensure timely completion of all trainings on routinely basis through periodic follow- ups, assessing the impact in case of any overdue, escalating to the relevant stakeholders and reporting to the governance forums.
  • Ensure training KPIs are managed, monitored and reported in monthly governance forums.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the training management system via management monitoring and independent business monitoring.
  • Ensure the training needs in collaboration with the departments based on criteria defined in the training needs analysis, updating the training needs in routine with the SOPs included or deleted, change in the roles & responsibilities and training delivery method.
  • Ensure all the SOPs and OJTs are existing in myLearning as learning items with timely assignment of the questionnaires, curricula are updated electronically in-line with the training needs as well as in myLearning.
  • Support the delivery and facilitation of learning & development interventions such as deviation investigation and root cause, customer complaints, recalls, out of specs or where appropriate to cater any developmental need, behavioral gaps and errors influenced by human factors.
  • Ensure the induction of new employees on timely basis, review and issuance of job descriptions and assignment of relevant curricula in myLearning. 
  • Ensure timely closure of the CAPAs/ actions in the VQD for risks, deviations, management monitoring, independent business management, change controls, annual reviews and other systems.
  • Ensure the development, adherence and approval of the learning calendar based on different systemic reviews and outcomes of the previous year, assigning, scheduling ILTs, marking in myLearning, measurement of the ROI.  
  • Facilitate and ensure TtT of all trainers at the Site and facilitation of ILT or virtual training sessions to develop capability needs across site on different topics.
  • Periodic review of the compliance training system and employee performance to identify opportunities and action plan to bring holistic systematic improvement, development of targeted development plans, site- wide capability drives and focused areas.

Packaging Lab Analyst


  • Ensure in- place and in- use of all the procedures, test methods, specifications, policies and standards related to Safety, Quality and Business along with the identification and mitigation of the risks, if any.
  • Inspection and testing of the packaging materials as per the defined specifications in compliance with Safety and Quality to support business through liaison with planning, logistics and testing of the material on timely basis, meeting the production volumes, lead times and avoidance of OOS.
  • Ensure the review, approval, storage, retention, archival and destruction of all the artworks, bromides, machine proof and buying samples is as per the GSK and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct departmental/ site audits to ensure compliance.
  • Liaison with suppliers for third- party incidents (complaints and rejections) related to the packaging materials to facilitate along with the SQOPs for robust investigations, corrective and preventive actions.
  • Inspection and verification of the warrantor samples to ensure the authenticity of the samples along with identification and taking appropriate measures in case of a counterfeit product.
  • Management of the KPIs on departmental and site level through regular TAP meetings and monthly governance forums.
  • Ensure entry of the testing data in LIMS and release of the approved material in SAP system to support achievement of the production plan and to avoid any OOS.
  • Management of the electronic systems to manage artworks, local procedures, audit reports, reporting of the third- party incident, deviation reporting, and other systems. 
  • Periodic review of the systems and processes of Packaging Lab including release of material, third- party incidents, sampling, supplier performance for repeated quality issues, specific material or vendor and management of artworks.
